INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT AND LIASION UNIT

Latihan Industri (LI) is the mandatory requirements for students at higher education level upon their graduation. LI elements been introduced to enhance students’ competencies by applying academic learning in the real work situation. In order to increase rate of student employability after studies, students are required to undergo 20 weeks of industrial training before graduate in their last semester of studies at semester 6.
LI’s goal is to enable students to gain experience in relevant industries to produce competent and competitive graduates to meet the current needs of the country. Students are expected to be able to achieve the following objectives after undergoing industrial training.
1. Apply academic knowledge and skills in the real working world.
2. Expose students to knowledge and technology used in the industry.
3. Strengthen self-confidence and effective communication skills at all levels in the workplace
4. Practicing values or work ethics such as honesty, trust, discipline and responsibility
The management of student placement in industries related to the program area followed involves 5 main academic departments
o The Department Of Civil Engineering (JKA)
o The Department Of Electrical Engineering (JKE)
o The Department Of Mechanical Engineering (JKM)
o The Department Of Commerce (JP)
o The Department Of Information Technology And Communication (JTMK)
