INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY UNIT
OBJECTIVE
• Ensure ICT management efficiently and effectively is implemented.
• Ensure the availability of ICT infrastructure and services for staff and students to use.
FUNCTION
• Manage and implement repair and preventive maintenance of ICT equipment.
• Design, develop & maintain data and application systems.
• Maintain and monitor network system operation and security.
• Manage the data center.
• Provide advisory services to management in ICT management and procurement.
ACTIVITY
The main activities of the Information Technology Unit are:
• Manage, maintain, and coordinate the ICT infrastructure of the polytechnic campus;
• Manage and monitor the implementation of ICT projects, namely the use of the Electronic Government application and the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) application;
• Manage technical assistance and support, namely First Level Support and Helpdesk related to ICT equipment, software, applications, and networks;
• Manage data and network security;
• Manage the acquisition of ICT assets and ICT equipment loan services;
• Design and develop internal application systems;
• Maintain the Ungku Omar Polytechnic (PUO) website.
