Tan Sri Othman Merican Library
The Ungku Omar Polytechnic Library was established simultaneously with the establishment of the Ungku Omar Polytechnic in 1969.
At the beginning of its establishment, the Library was located in the PUO Administration Building and was run by the Polytechnic Administration staff.
Around 1975, the Library moved to a more comfortable building that could accommodate approximately 100 users at a time.
This two-story Library building has a floor area of 2000 square meters.
In 1998, the management of the Library was gradually taken over by support staff appointed by the National Library Department of Malaysia.
In 2001, a total of 4 Library Assistants from the National Library Department of Malaysia were appointed to this Library.
In 2004, Library Management was fully handled by the Head of the Library Unit, the Librarian, the Assistant Librarian, and 6 Library Assistants.
