Program Synopsis

The program aims to produce graduates who are committed to using civil engineering technology to promote a sustainable economy. In addition, they are expected to act as guardians of our environment and resources, be effective agents for sustainable change, and educate others about the benefits of a more sustainable society.

BCT is a four-year full-time program and is structured to be more practically oriented than conventional science-based engineering degree programs. Students are exposed to practical-based training throughout the coursework of eight semesters with a weightage of 60% practical and 40% theory including two semesters of Work-Based Learning (WBL). The curriculum emphasizes the development of a strong foundation in civil engineering, the application of technology to achieve sustainability and an understanding of business fundamentals, and regulations.

To keep up with the rapid technological developments and evolving needs in today’s industry, students will undergo two semesters of structured on-the-job training with WBL with key industry players in the country. This collaborative program aims to equip students with the latest knowledge and skills that are applied in real and current situations. Graduates from this program will have direct industry experience with technical knowledge and be dynamically competent to meet the needs and requirements of society and the industry.
