THE DEPARTMENT OF STUDENTS AFFAIRS

The Student Affairs Department (JHEP) is responsible for administering matters related to students including admission, registration, data , welfare and discipline. The department offers support services, manage and coordinate activities for students to meet the balance between academic and non academic aspects of students’ life in campus. JHEP consists of 3 units namely Admission and Data, Welfare and Discipline as well as the International Students Unit.

Admission and Data Unit
– Manage admission of new students
– Plan and manage registration of new and senior students
– Manage students’ study and registration fees.
– Manage students record and database
– Prepare students’ data and statistic
– Plan and manage outreach programs and promotions of admission to polytechnics.

Welfare and Discipline Unit
– Manage and coordinate student financial sponsorship, financial aid, bursaries, scholarships or educational loans
– Coordinate and monitor students’ discipline in the campus
– Manage and coordinate co-curricular activities and student development programs
– Supervise the Student Representative Council as well as students’ clubs and associations
– Manage and assist the students welfare and insurance matters

International Student Unit (IRU)
– Manage admission of international students
– Manage documentation and compliance procedures for international students
– Manage welfare and academics of international students
– Plan and manage outreach programs and promotions of international students
