THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL STUDIES

Committed to meet Ungku Omar Polytechnic’s mission of excellence in producing well rounded students who not only in the fields of engineering, technology and entrepreneurship but inclusive of language skills, character, spirituality and strong faith. The General Studies Department is committed to raise the marketability of students through the provision of various languages such as English, Japanese, Mandarin and Arabic. We are also committed to strengthen the building of students character and identity so that they do not succumb to negative propaganda through the offering of courses such as Pengajian Islam, Sains Teknologi dan Kejuruteraan Islam, Hubungan Etnik serta Penghayatan Etika dan Peradaban. The general courses offered are hoped to strengthen the compliance of religious teachings, universal moral values, instills a spirit of unity and provide students with global communication knowledge so that they do not fall behind in the challenges of the world and the workplace.
