SYNOPSIS

The Finance and Banking Diploma Program was designed to introduce students to the principles of finance and banking as well as to understand the role of finance and banking in today’s business and economic environment. This program is developed by considering the industry view in terms of relevant concepts and theories in the fields of finance, business, investment, banking, insurance, and trade finance to students in the current banking scenario.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

SPM graduate

1. Malaysian
2. Have SPM or equivalent
3. Pass Malay
4. Pass History (SPM 2013 and above)
5. Pass English
6. Get THREE (3) honours in the following subjects:
1. Mathematics
2. TWO (2) other subjects that have not been taken into account
7. Candidates do not have visual (blindness), hearing, physical, or learning disabilities that make practical work difficult

Graduates other than SPM

1. Malaysian
2. Passed MQA-recognized Certificate level studies/Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 3 in a related field
3. Passed SPM with honours in Mathematics
4. Candidates do not have visual (blindness), hearing, physical, or learning disabilities that make practical work difficult

1. Polytechnic Certificate

• Marketing Certificate
• Data Processing Certificate
• Certificate of Business Studies
• Certificate of Accounts Payable

2. Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 3

• Commercial & Retail Banking Operations (FB-027-3:2012)
• Commercial & Retail Banking Officer (FB-021-3)
• Financial Planning (FB-016-3:2012)

APEL Graduate

1. Malaysian
2. Obtain an APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) certificate from MQA for admission to the diploma (Level 4)
3. Have experience working in a related field
