Course Description

SYNOPSIS

The Diploma of Information Technology (Digital Technology) study program provides education and training in the field of Computing with special emphasis on the field of Information Technology. The courses offered are grouped into modules such as Platform Technologies, Computing Foundation, Programming Essentials, Industry-Led modules, and Industry Domain Cluster which refer to specific tasks. The courses provide opportunities for students to achieve careers in various ICT sectors. The program also provides students with transferable skills and a variety of skills that allow them to adapt to new technologies. In addition to technical courses, students are also taught English for Digital Technology, Islamic Studies or Moral Education, Co-curriculum, and Inventive Problem Solving to improve their competence in soft skills. Because this program emphasizes self-initiated learning and hands-on competencies, graduates of this program will be ready to face the challenges of the world of computing technology.

SPM graduate

1. Malaysian
2. Have SPM or equivalent
3. Pass the Malay language
4. Pass History (SPM 2013 and above)
5. Pass English
6. Get THREE (3) honours in the following subjects:
7. Mathematics
8. TWO (2) other subjects that have not been taken into account
9. Candidates do not have visual (blindness, colour blindness), hearing, physical or learning disabilities that make practical work difficult

Graduates other than SPM

1. Malaysian
2. Pass the Computer and Network System Certificate (SSK) or Information Technology Certificate (STM) for Community College graduates; OR
3. Passed MQA-recognized Certificate level studies/Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 3 in a related field and obtained honours in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent
4. Candidates do not have visual disabilities (blindness, colour blindness), hearing, physical or learning disabilities that make practical work difficult

APEL graduate

1. Malaysian
2. Obtain an APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) certificate from MQA for admission to the diploma (Level 4)
3. Have experience working in a related field
